The Greek Orthodox Church, the Chiurch of the Holy Trinity, in Vienna.It is known as the Griechische Kirche and was located at Fleischmarkt (meat market) next to the Schwedenplatz square opposite the restaurant "Erdinger Stüberl." The Austrian tradition Local Griechenbeisl is also located here and was once a tavern visited by Greeks. The church was built in 1858 and was designed by the Danish-Amercan architectt Theophil Edvard Hansen. There was a Greek community in Vienna that time, mainly merchants who lived around the Schwedenplatz.
