More information:

This is the famous esplanade of the town of Corfu, called Liston, in the "blue" hour. Don't get fooled, this is the only time of the day, just before night falls, that you can see this street so "empty". Normally it's full of people from early in the morning. The best place in town to have a cup of coffee, lunch or dinner or simply walk up and down the road and enjoy the colourful crowd. There are two version about where the name "Liston" cames from. According to the first one the name came from the American "List on" meaning the list of the vendors' fare, in other words the menu. According to the second version, "Liston" in the Venetian dialect means the large "lista", a big straight road that is. To the left of the street, you can find Spianada, considered the largest square of the Balkans.
