Freeby, Leicestershire, UK., 13th Jan 2016. A medieval church in the county of Leicestershire in the UK is undergoing urgent repairs due to serious deterioration of the years. It is feared that without this restoration work, St Mary's church in the village of Freeby near Melton Mowbray could face closure or demolition. St Mary's has not been used for regular worship for over ten years due to its poor condition, instead services have been held at the small chapel over the road from the church. Work began on the church just after Easter in 2015 and should be complete this year (2016)
