Former U.S. PRESIDENT GERALD R. FORD (b. July 14, 1913 in Omaha, Nebraska and died December 26, 2006 Rancho Mirage, CA) who became president in 1974 after the resignation of Richard Nixon. The nation's 38th President was the oldest surviving former President and only one to hold office without being elected to it. Also the last member of the Warren Commission to pass away. He is survived by his wife, former First Lady Betty and three sons, Michael, Jack and Steven and one daughter, Susan.
