350 former soldiers protest in shifts, not far from the President's office, Casa Rosada, Plaza de Mayo, Buenos Aires. The non-combatants, defending Argentina's coast and airbases during the 1982 Falklands War, are not counted as War Veterans. They will only leave on receipt of veteran status and back pay benefits. Their camp, with electricity, beds, kitchen and dining mess, is surrounded by protest banners.
