First version of the Junkers Ju 52 in Dessau, 1931. The first version of the Junkers Ju 52 was designed as a single-engine cargo airplane. Only when its power did not convince the Lufthansa, and that one required a new passenger plane, the plane was redesigned into a three-engine aircraft.
