The helicopter's emergency flotation pontoons were deployed upon splashdown. Seconds after a sightseeing helicopter plunged into the Hudson River, Jose Meija, an FDNY paramedic aboard, sprung into action yesterday - helping his girlfriend and six others escape without serious injury.
