Edinburgh Zoo, Scotland, UK. 20th Feb 2013. Members of the UK Media gather at the enclosure of male panda Yang Guang "Sunshine" while he roams back and forward scent marking, doing hand stands against walls and peering through the closed wire mesh opening which separates him from Tian Tian "Sweetie". According to zoo staff the pair are showing encouraging signs that they are ready to mate and it is hoped that this will occur within the next few weeks. Yang Guang normally eats 35kg of food per day, currently he is eating 50kg mainly bamboo.
