SUNDAY 31st July 2016. Pilots and their spotters during a race at the UK drone racing competition, The Queen's Cup. Gary Kent won the Queen's cup competition - the first time it has been awarded to FPV Drone Racing. The UK’s oldest sporting cup and most prestigious air-racing prize was awarded to the sport that contrasts mostly with that heritage: FPV drone racing. The event held 30th - 31st July 2016 at Popham Airfield, Hampshire, saw 54 pilots vie for the top prize alongside a qualifying place for the Drone World event to be held in Hawaii.
