(dpa) - Maximilian Schell, Swiss theatre and cinema actor, pictured in Hamburg, 11 March 2003. In 1961 he played the defense attorney in the war-crimes epic 'Judgment at Nuremberg' for which he won a Best Actor Oscar. Schell also appeared in such films as 'Topkapi', 'A Bridge Too Far' and 'Cross of Iron'.
