Oatman Hiway (old Route 66) between Kingman, AZ., and Needles, California USAMore information:
Oatman, Arizona, USA, was perhaps named after Olive Oatman. She was kidnapped by indians and finally released in the area of the site of Oatman. The screen actors Clark Gable and Carol Lombard slept there on their honeymoon. Oatman is on the route between Kingman, Arizona and Needles, California. Gold was mined here. Burros (donkeys), once owed by miners, were abandoned, but multiplied in the wild. They now wonder about the town seeking carrot handouts.
