The Duchess of Cornwall meets her guests as she invited a group of youngsters to Clarence House, London, to help decorate her Christmas tree. PRESS ASSOCIATION Photo. Picture date: Wednesday December 12, 2012. Camilla got into the festive spirit and was ably assisted by children with life-shortening diseases. The eight youngsters, who receive support from the Helen & Douglas House Hospice, based in Oxford, not only placed baubles on the tree but also enjoyed a bangers-and-mash lunch with the Duchess. Camilla is patron of the hospice, which provides respite and end- of-life care for youngsters with life-shortening conditions and gives their families practical and emotional support. Since Camilla became its patron in 2007, children from the organisation have been invited to decorate her Christmas tree every year. See PA story ROYAL Tree.
