Posh Cambridge University students were treated to unlimited champagne and oysters in an ice-filled punt at the world famous Trinity May Ball Students stumbled out of the college at dawn this morning after surviving the prestigious all-night party, which cost a premium £265 for a double ticket. Survivors enjoyed a fancy English breakfast and smoked salmon bagels in the college gardens along the historic Cambridge backs after watching a fantastic fireworks display. Most were still smartly dressed and relatively sober after a packed night of entertainment, including belly dancing, comedians, magicians and a steel band. "It has been one of the best ever May Balls, the college really went to town this year, " said one student. "I've never seen so much food and there was unlimited champagne served from a punt on the River Cam. "But most students didn't get too drunk, if you have too much alcohol you never make it to the survivor's breakfast." Trinity Ball is more than 100 years old and always held on the first Monday of May week.
