Buddha statues carved into hillside at Lingyin (Souls Retreat) Temple in Hangzhou, China, oldest Buddhist temple in China, dating from Ming dynasty. You can see where people have rubbed the foot of this one for good luck. The vast complex is one of the most famous Buddhist Temples in China. It was constructed in 326 at the foot of Lingyin Mountain by an Indian monk named Huili. There are pagodas, grottos with Buddha carvings, museums with Arhat statues and much more.
