The groups all martched into position awaiting the arrival of the Vicar of Bolton, Bolton Mayor and other dignitaries, they all stood on the town hall steps where the vicar of Bolton conducted a small service in commemoration of the lives lost in various conflicts around the world. The Mayor then laid a wreath of poppies at the cenotaph followed by the representative of the Army and Navy who also laid a wreath. Two young service men fained and had to seek medical help from paramedics.
