Annually the Oktoberfest is celebrated also in the german immigration zone in southern Brazil in the city of Blumenau situated in the State of Santa Catarina. During 17 to 18 days the german roots are remembered and celebrated being the parades through Blumenau downtown one of the most popular events of this celebration with many participants wearing bavarian style clothing, drinking beer and having a good time.
