Battle of Flers-Courcellete. Mark I. tank of ?C? Company, ditched north of Bouleaux Wood on the day tanks first went into action (captured by 56th Division, 15th September, 1916). Note shell hole by side of it. On left of sky line is Lesboeufs, and on the right Morval. September 1916. British Front - France '16 General Battle Somme.
