Barclays Cycle Hire Docking Station in front of old brick railway embankment wall at Bethnal Green Road, between Braithwaite Street (behind the camera) and Sclater Street (background view). Hire bike sponsor, Barclays, announced in December 2013 that it would not be renewing its cycle sponsorship deal with Transport for London (TFL). In 2014 Transport for London signed a new 7-year cycle hire sponsorship scheme with Santander. The new sponsorship deal sees the cycle hire scheme's 11, 500 turquoise bikes and docking stations being painted red and re-named Santander Cycles.
