April 21, 2007, San Diego, USA. JAIME GUEVARA polishes his 1948 Pontiac Streamliner at Chicano Park. He and other members of his carclub, the Coachmen, made camp at the back of the park, admiring everyone's cars, making carne asada and ceviche. Saturday was the 37th annual Chicano Park Day. Hundreds of people came to the park under the freeways in Barrio Logan to celebrate chicano culture. Ballet Folklorico and Mixcoatl dancers performed, as did several musical groups. Dozens of car clubs covered the grass with over 200 cherried out classic cars, and vendors sold everything from tee shirts to carne asada and jewelry.
