More information:

Thousands of Anti-Captitalist protesters, including comedian, radio and television presenter Russell Brand, gathered in the City of London on the eve of the G20 Summit on 01/04/09 which almost immediately turned violent as protesters clashed with the Metropolitan Police. Protesters were kept detained for hours on end at the Bank of England. The demonstration's violet clashes with London's police force resulted in the death of Ian Tomlinson and raised a large number of issues about the methods used by the police.
