The Stralsund housing association starts to deconstruct its apartment blocks. The federal government funds the demolition of 64 units as part of the 'Urban Redevelopment East' development programme. The block seen in the picture will be auctioned. The block from 1978 belongs to the federal government and contains 63 apartments. On 04 December 2011 in Rostock, it will be offered for sale starting at an asking price of 695, 000 euros. According to the Northern German Grundstuecksauktionen, the former prison of Strasburg near Neubrandenburg will also be up for auction. The starting price will be 1, 500 euros. Photo: Stefan Sauer
