A sign which reads 'Achtung Lebensgefahr, Betreten verboten!', Attention, danger to life, keep off the ground!' on the access pathway to the steep cliff line at Cape Arkona on the island of Ruegen, Putgarten, Germany, 28 December 2011. On Monday afternoon, 26 December 2011, several thousand cubic metres of clay and chalkstone crashed into the sea taking by surprise a mother and her two daughters age 10 and 14, who were stolling along the shore. On Tuesday, 27 December 2011, rescue teams had to abort further rescue operations due to safety concerns. Stormy weather and potential break offs along the cliff coast line prevented rescue workers on Wednesday, 27 December 0211, from continuing their search for the missing girl. Photo: Stefan Sauer
