A river full of water contaminated by mine effluent in La Paz, Bolivia. La Paz will probably be the first capital city in the world that will have to be largely abandoned due to lack of water. It relies heavily on glacial meltwater from the surrounding Andean peaks, but as climate change causes the glaciers to melt, it is rapidly running short of water.
