A rare knightly sword,presumably Italian,circa 1300. Double-edged blade with long fullers running almost to the point on both sides. Quillons vertical rectangular cross-section,slightly broadened towards the ends. Tapered tang retaining remnants of the wooden grip,riveted octagonal disk-shaped pommel. Length of the blade 85 cm,width of the blade 4.2 cm,overall length 101 cm,weight 942 g. Restored water find with good metal substance. Find spot: Oglio river,a tributary to the Po river.
