Using unused lifeguard chairs as a base to create works of art, the Beach warming station design competition is a seasonal winter event in Toronto Canada that each year attracts tourists and artists alike to the Beach area on the shores of Lake Ontario. The sculpture, "Aurora Borealis" is a kinetic pavilion designed by Laurentian University students but it is a little too much of a wind catcher and the borealis effect is diminished when a stiff breezes tangle its streamers.
