A German suit of armour for a man at arms, circa 1580. Assembled from old pieces. Visor and vambraces are Historismus Period replacements. Burgonet with a two-piece skull and high comb with rolled edge, riveted visor and neck guard, and attached cheek pieces with perforations. Surrounded by brass lining rivets. Three-piece, laminated closeable visor. Hinged bevor with a two-piece gorget and a massive turned under and corded flange. Pauldrons of six lames attached.
