December 18, 2008 - A Formation of U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III's prepare to depart from Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina. The 437th Airlift Wing conducted a large formation exercise utilizing 13 C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. The aim of the exercise is to maintain the ability of the Air Force to drop the equivalent of an Army Brigade within 30 minutes.
