1968 - New Heads For The Beatles. It appears that the teenage 'mop top' image of the Beatles is finally dead and gone. For the traditional waxwork models of the group at Madame Tussauds are to be melted down - and replaced by new, more mature models - showing the Beatles in all their 'psychedelic' glory, complete with longer hair, and moustaches. At Madame Tussauds, London - Miss Vera Bland (left) works on the new head of George Harrison, while Miss Diane Hull works on the John Lennon head. © Keystone Pictures USA/ZUMAPRESS.com/Alamy Live News
