1957 - Artist George Petty, Creator of the famed Esquire Petty Girl featured in the 1956 Esquire calendar, finds trans World Airlines hostess Lyda Carr a suitable subject for a quick sketch. Miss Carr, a resident of Forest Hills, N.Y. casts a critical eye on the artist's handiwork after his arrival from his home in Scottsdale, Ariz.
