Staff Sgt. James Ahn, an explosive disposal team leader with 49th Ordnance Company from Fort Campbell, Ky., uncovers a simulated explosive device at the 2018 Ordnance Crucible, Fort A.P. Hill, Va., June 6, 2018. EOD teams are assessed on operations and associated tasks require to provide EOD support to unified land operations to eliminate and/or reduce explosive threats. The Ordnance Crucible is designed to test Soldiers' teamwork and critical thinking sills as they apply technical solutions to real world problems improving readiness of the force.
