Sovereign Harbour East Sussex, UK. 4th May, 2021. After nearly 30 years of service to Margate the RNLI Mersey class all-weather lifeboat ‘Leonard Kent' has been retired. This afternoon the vessel and her crew stopped at Eastbourne's Sovereign Harbour en route to her final decommissioning. Since being named in 1992 by HRH Princess Alexandra the Leonard Kent has launched over 400 times saving 21 lives and offering aid to 599 others. Credit: Newspics UK South/Alamy Live News
