Sherpa Tensing, the Everest hero, presented a book to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (right), standing behind Tensing to the left is this daughter. The book was a copy of The Hero of Everest written by Brig. Gyan Singh, who led the first Indian expedition to Everest in 1960, and was published by the Publication Division of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. 3 February 1961
