Sepak takraw is a ball game played with a net with some gymnastics moves thrown in. Sepak is the Malay word for kick and takraw is the Thai word for the rattan ball that is used. It's a fast paced game played on a rectangular court and uses the small rattan ball. Palyers use any part of the body except hands or arms with rules similar to volleyball. This game was played in Thailand in the 16th Century as well as in the Malaysian royal courts. Sepak takraw is played all across South East Asia but especially in Thailand and Malaysia.
