Sep. 09, 1965 - Ship Sinks In the Thames: Nine men died today when the Greater London Council Sludge-carrying vessel,the sir Joseph Rawlinson, collided with a tug and capsized. Two bodies have been recovered, seven men are missing and there are 10 Survivors. As the Search for Survivors went on, the 18 who escaped were landed at Graves end Jetty by the Pet of London Launch Victor.Photo Shows Bernard, Mrs. Ivy Kite, of the three Dawes hotel, Graves end -welcomes some of the Survivors -Who went to the pub after their ordeal today.
