Sep. 09, 1959 - Black Orpheus - ''Orfeu ethnic''. In the presence and in Rio de Janeiro, Marcel Camus' film (Marcel Camus) of the classical legend of Orpheus and Eurydice takes place. Orpheys appears as handsome, coloured conductor, Eurydice is a young ethnicess with little experience who came to Rio to see the famouse carneval. Breno Mello (Breno Mello) -centre- in an ensemble of coloured actors plays the tiltle part of the colour film which was as best film awarded the ''golden palm'' in Cannes this year ''Orfeu ethnic'' will soon be seen in Germany as well.
