Sculpted head of Sigmund Freud on a monument at Pribor, (formerly Freiberg in the Austro-Hungarian Empire), Freud's birthplace in Moravia, now in the Czech Republic. When Freud was born here 6 May 1856 he had a caul, all or part of the amniotic sac, clinging to his head and face, which is parents took to be a significant omen of good luck. He subsequently left with his parents for Leipzig and Vienna. The sculpture is by F. Navratila and Z. Makovskeho
