SASEBO, Japan (Sept. 25, 2017) Commander, U.S. Fleet Activities Sasebo line handlers moor amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) at CFAS Sept. 25, 2017. Bonhomme Richard returned to Sasebo following a four-month deployment in in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. Bonhomme Richard served as the flagship of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group during the deployment, which was highlighted by the U.S.-Australia bilateral exercise Talisman Saber and several port visits in Australia resulting in enhanced interoperability and relations between the two allies.
