Kingdom Centre in Riyadh is the tallest skyscraper in Saudi Arabia. With a height of 302m, it is considered the 25th tallest building in the world. Diriyah is the traditional home of the House of Saud, and served as the capital for early Saudi states. Before the Egyptian attack on the city in 1818 it was the capital of the First Saudi State that dominated the whole peninsula. It was destroyed by the Turks in 1818. Portions of the city, made of mud bricks, still exists.
