Urban gardens have a history that begins in the late nineteenth century with the French jardins ouvriers (workers' gardens). The Ort9 urban garden of Casal Brunori remained open for the duration of the lockdown due to the coronavirus covid-19 pandemic, allowing access to the spaces cultivated on shift. Roma 26/05/2020 Gli orti urbani sono spazi verdi da coltivare spesso situati ai margini delle citta'. Strumenti per combattere il degrado delle aree periferiche, non appartengono a coloro che li coltivano, ma generalmente ai comuni, che li assegnano ai coltivatori non professionisti che li richiedono. I beneficiari ricevono questi spazi in concessione per la produzione di verdura, frutta, fiori, produzione che servira' ai loro bisogni. La produzione alimentare avviene esclusivamente senza l'uso di prodotti chimici e pesticidi e con le regole dell'agricoltura biologica. I giardini urbani hanno una storia che inizia alla fine del XIX secolo con i giardinieri francesi (giardini dei lavoratori). Il giardino urbano Ort9 di Casal Brunori è rimasto aperto per tutta la durata del blocco a causa della pandemia di coronavirus covid-19, consentendo a turno l'accesso agli spazi coltivati.
