Prince Harry officially opens the Wootton Bassett field of remembrance at Lydiard Park near Swindon. The memorial field is dedicated to Wootton Bassett in recognition of its role in repatriations of those killed in armed conflict as they pass through the town. He laid a wooden cross for his friend Lance Corporal Jonathan Woodgate who was in the Household Cavalry Regiment and was killed on foot patrol in Sangin, Helmand.
