The artwork forms part of The Long March to Freedom National Heritage Monument, in Pretoria's Groenkloof Nature Reserve. Nearby is a sculpture of Walter and Albertina Sisulu, who would have celebrated her 100th birthday tomorrow, 21 October. A growing project, 'The March to Freedom' comprises at present more than 50 life-size bronze sculptures of men and women who fought for South Africa's liberation from Apartheid.
