Picnic-type tables and wash-stands stand outside houses found in a Viet Cong training camp area. Men from 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment discovered these structures west of Dailoc during Operation Alleghiery in August 1966. The photograph was taken by Cpi. Gilles, a member of the Defense Department in the Marine Corps.
