A Mobile Health Unit of the Italian Army reached Longobucco, a remote village in Sila National Park, to carry out the Covid-19 vaccination program for the disabled and senior citizens over the age of 80. Following the rise in Covid19 cases in the region, the Italian Army medical task force together with the Provincial Health Authority (ASP) of Cosenza and volunteers of Misericordia, started to provide Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine to the vulnerable people living among the mountains and in areas lacking sanitary supports and transports.
