PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 18, 2022) U.S. Sailors assigned to the amphibious transport dock USS Portland (LPD 27) secure a U.S. Army CH-47F Chinook attached to 3rd Battalion, 25th Aviation Regiment, 25th Combat Aviation Brigade, to the flight deck with wheel chocks and chains while conducting deck landing qualifications, Feb. 18. Marines and Sailors of the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Essex Amphibious Ready Group are underway conducting routine operations in U.S. 3rd Fleet.
