The church of St Mary and St David is a Church of England church located in the small village of Kilpeck in Herefordshire. About 5 miles from the border with Monmouthshire in Wales. The church was built around 1140 by the Normans at a time when the surrounding area was a prosperoud region. It is famous for its detailed Norman carvings, which are ornate, of wide variety and in some cases rude. The plan of the church is typical of Norman architecture construction of the time, with a nave, chancel, and semicircular apse.
