Oct. 10, 1956 - The Continental Mark II Cabriolet Convertible, which is making its debut at the Texas State Fair currently being held in Dallas, is the result of the joint efforts of tow of the most famous names in the automotive industry - the Lincoln Division of Ford Motor Company and the Derham Custom Body Company. It is the first true continental convertible built since production of the Lincoln Continental series was suspended in March 1948. The Cabriolet is only 57 inches high ad carries out the modern formal theme typical of the Continental Mark II hardtop coupe, a prestige car being produced in limited volume by Ford Motor Company.
