Due to worsening air quality, particularly high NOx levels, diesel vehicles have been banned in the green environmental zones of Munich unless with Euro 6 certification. The current exceptions allow for delivery vehicles and residents of the zone with Euro 5 and 6 which is set to end in October when Euro 6 becomes the norm.
