Hundreds of car enthusiasts joined MG Rover workers at a rally outside the beleaguered company s factory on Sunday 17 April 2005 to show solidarity and support for the marques With everything from a 1946 MGTC to a brand new MG ZT bought on the very day the company went into administration the cars and their owners were cheered as they drove through the crowds outside MG Rover s Q gate at Longbridge south west of Birmingham Organiser Bev Miles said she was touched by the workers response 5 000 of whom will find redundancy notices on their mats this week The rally comprising more than 250 cars started off from the Gaydon Motor Heritage Musem
