It was arranged in Lyceum Ballroom in London on november 14 1952, a contest initiated by englishman Eric Morley. Eleven contestants participated. It was then the second time the Miss World beauty contest was held and it was the second time a swedish woman won. First ever voted beauty queen was Kiki Håkansson 1951. Kristoffersson ref BH95-12
