The 8th District Enlisted Person of the Year Award is a district-wide award, which honors the top-performing enlisted member. After the award, the recipient is then submitted to compete in the Coast Guard Reserves Enlisted Person of the Year Award, which selects the top-performing member out of the Coast Guard. Lind is currently assigned to Port Security Unit 3
